ORANGEVILLE - Mighty Richland Players Dessert Theater will be performing John Patrick's "Opal's Million Dollar Duck" Friday through Sunday at the theater, 203 W High St.

While rooting through Opal's Antique Junque Shop, two summer-stock leads come across a painting that looks a lot like an old master that disappeared from the local art museum. In order to collect the insurance themselves, the divas, Desmond and Queenie, try to acquire the painting from Opal, who has other plans for the painting. The two stars resort to everything from outrageous flattery to knockout drops trying to get their hands on the picture.

Director Kim McIver joins cast members Amy Jo Beightol, Sandy Sweitzer, Dawn Degenhardt and Josh Dotzel.

During intermission, homemade dessert of apple cobbler with caramel sauce and hot cider will be served.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with the doors opening at 7 p.m. At the Sunday matinee show, doors open at 1:30 p.m. with the show starting at 2 p.m.
