Don and Diane (Geissbuhler) Olson, Monroe, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 30, 2012.
Don grew up in Spring Green and Diane in Shullsburg. The couple met in Shullsburg while Don was working for the telephone company and Diane was his waitress. The couple married on Sept. 30, 1972 at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Darlington.
The couple have been active residents of Monroe for 33 years. Don retired as an Independent Snap-On Tools Dealer after 31 years in 2006. Don stays busy golfing, doing handyman jobs for his friends and neighbors, and started a new business last year, Badger Bench. Diane is a Realtor with Century 21 in Monroe and enjoys spending time with her 5-year-old grandson, Bauer.
The couple are the parents of three daughters, one grandson and are expecting another grandchild in December. Tiffany Olson, Justin and Bauer Engelhart, Stoughton; Heather (Guillaume) Marchand with a baby arriving in December, Paris, France; and Crystal Olson, Minneapolis, Minn.
