MONROE - Merlin Olson, Monroe, has donated a sterling silver candelabra and a pair of sterling silver candlesticks with hurricane glass which will be featured in the Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) Art and Antiques Auction airing live at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, on WPT. The Art and Antiques Auction kicks off the annual live televised WPT Auction, which runs Tuesday, May 26 through Sunday, May 31.
The WPT Auction features special theme items plus articles of a general nature each day with offerings suited to every budget and taste. Articles up for bid include, art, jewelry, vacations, things for home and businesses, gardening tools and equipment, sports tickets and equipment, and items for families and children.
Proceeds support WPT programs, outreach initiatives and events that serve to enrich the Wisconsin community. Friends of WHA organizes the WPT Auction as part of its role as the citizen-support group for WPT in south-central Wisconsin. WPT is a service of the Wisconsin Educational Communications Board and UW-Extension.
