MONROE - In March, members of Monroe Woman's Club welcomed guest speakers Susan Disch, Green County Board Supervisor for District 8; Pam Wyss, Monroe School Board president; and Michael Boyce, third ward alderman for the city of Monroe. They shared information with members on why they ran for office, their goals while in office and the advantages and disadvantages of being in public office.

The Monroe Woman's Club will meet again at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 at the Monroe Arts Center's Wesley Hall. The guest speakers will be local AFS students and Elizabeth Hanson. The Community Improvement Project will be a collection of backpacks, suitcases or travel bags for children in need. Prospective members are welcome.
