MONROE - Monroe Theatre Guild will present the Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple" in June.
This classic comedy opens as a group of the guys are assembled for cards in the apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. And if the mess is any indication, it's no wonder that his wife left him. Late to arrive is Felix Unger who has just been separated from his wife. Since he is very fastidious and none too tense, they fear he might commit suicide and go about locking all the windows. As the action unfolds, the clean-freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together with hilarious results as "The Odd Couple" is born.
Playing the role of Felix Unger is Andy Stoffels, with Chris Weis playing Oscar Madison. The poker buddies are Jeff Bennett as Murray, Mike Klarer as Vinnie, Dale Ripley as Speed, and Chris Sachs as Roy.
Shows are at 8:30 p.m. June 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 and 2 p.m. June 21 (Father's Day), at the Monroe High School's Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $12 for non-MTG members and $10 for members, and are available at the MTG Box Office, 916 16th Ave. or at the door.
