MONROE - The Monroe Public Library, located at 925 16th Ave., invites costumed kids and their adults to Slightly Spooky Stories, a special Halloween storytime presented by Kris Ault, Youth Services Librarian, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20.

The program is appropriate for children ages 3-8. It is free and no registration is required. Slightly Spooky Stories will include not-so-scary stories, songs, and rhymes.

The evening will include a costume parade and an opportunity to make some special spooky Halloween decorations and crafts. Children may make Ghostly Mobiles, Haunted Pumpkins, Magic Bracelets, and Friendly Bat Puppets. There will be treats for all.

Youngsters are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes.

The library is handicapped accessible and parking is located in the lot behind the building or the municipal parking ramp across the street.
