NEW GLARUS — On April 1, voters in the New Glarus School District approved an operating referendum with a 59% approval rate. This referendum replaces the existing non-recurring referendum and ensures continued financial stability for the district.
The approval of this referendum allows the district to replace the current non-recurring referendum, ensuring the continuation of essential programs, the retention of talented educators, and the sustained financial stability of the schools. This commitment enables the district to maintain high-quality education while operating within a responsible budget framework.
“We are incredibly thankful for the trust and support of our community,” said Jennifer Thayer, Superintendent of New Glarus School District. “This approval affirms our shared dedication to providing the best possible educational experience for our students while being fiscally responsible.”
The district remains committed to responsible budgeting and will continue to make efforts to be as tax neutral as possible, within its control.
The New Glarus School District values the ongoing partnership with the community and looks forward to working together to shape a bright future for all students.
