NEW GLARUS — New Glarus Middle and High School musicians showcased their talent at the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) District Solo and Ensemble Festival, held on Feb. 22 at Belleville High School.
A total of 152 events featured New Glarus students from grades 6-12, performing in a variety of categories, including band, choir, piano, and string events. The festival provided students with an opportunity to perform for adjudicators, receive valuable feedback, and develop their musical skills.
Among the many outstanding performances, a number of New Glarus musicians earned top ratings and will advance to the WSMA State Solo and Ensemble Festival in April at UW-Platteville.
