NEW GLARUS — The Capitol Conference WSMA South Solo and Ensemble Festival was held Saturday, Feb. 25 at Waterloo High School.

Through the Solo & Ensemble experience, students learn the discipline of rehearsal, are challenged to advance their musical skills, perform in front of an audience and adjudicator, and receive feedback on their performance. Performances are rated in three categories: C (beginner), B (intermediate), and A(advanced).

New Glarus had over 100 student musicians perform in the festival with 25 Class A Instrumental and Vocal events advancing to State Solo and Ensemble which will be held at UW-Platteville on Saturday, April 29.
