MONROE - Next Generation 4-H Club kicked off the 2018 community service year by offering St. Vincent DePaul a helping hand. The club members, parents and adult volunteers spent the morning Jan. 20 assisting the staff of St. Vincent with sorting, pricing and stocking shelves at their facility.
This is one of the six scheduled times that the club has set aside to help out St. Vincent as part of its community service projects for 2018.
Club leaders believe that by providing meaningful opportunities for its members to make a difference in local communities, it also will make a difference in the members volunteering. This year the club will participate in over 37 community service projects that will provide help to eight different cities, towns and villages in three Wisconsin counties.
