New Glarus: Local ad agency wins Best of Show Award

NEW GLARUS - The Gunter Agency has received a Best of Show Award from the NAMA (National Agri-Marketing Association) Region IV Awards Program for its Public Relations efforts for the Childhood Agricultural Safety Network.

NAMA Region IV includes chapters in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.

The Childhood Agricultural Safety Network is a coalition of not-for-profit groups and governmental agencies with a common goal of farm safety for children. The marketing and public relations campaign hit on a controversial subject, that a change in traditional farm values was in order, to keep children under the age of 12 off of tractors. On most farms, having children ride on the tractor is a family tradition. But this practice is also very deadly, the number one cause for children's deaths on the farm are tractor related. 

The marketing theme, "It's easier to bury a tradition than a child" was launched and the Best of Show winning PR efforts accompanied the program.

A television commercial created by The Gunter Agency for the Childhood Agricultural Safety Network also received an award at the NAMA ceremony.
