New Glarus library sets two holiday events for all ages

NEW GLARUS - New Glarus Public Library will be showing the holiday film "Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas" at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Village Hall community room, 319 2nd St., New Glarus. Children will be able to frost and eat Christmas cookies, and make and take ornaments between 2 and 4 p.m. The film is rated G and has a running time of 48 minutes. The free event is appropriate for all ages.

Also, the library will sponsor a production by the Traveling Lantern Theatre Company from 6 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the New Glarus Elementary School Gymnasium, 1420 2nd St. The Traveling Lantern Theatre Company is a touring group who will present an interactive rendition of "A Christmas Carol," in which the audience may participate.

Traveling Lantern has been educating and entertaining children nationwide since 1985. The event is free and appropriate for all ages.
