MONROE — Lynn Brooks is the new Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Green County (HHGC).
Brooks served as Administrative Associate for Green Haven Family Advocates, a non-profit in Monroe for 15 years. Her work there included managing office operations, as well as overseeing financial and budget work. She was particularly successful at securing grants for Green Haven, a skill HHGC will call on as it grows in size and scope.
HHGC recently moved to a new location to provide more space for its resale store which has experienced steady growth since it was established in 2015. The organization has an ambitious agenda, which includes continuing to serve low-income families in need of home repairs and planning for the next home build which will be located in Monroe.
“Lynn’s experience and talents will be a great asset as we move forward,” said Paula Elmer, HHGC Board President.
Brooks has her office at the store location at 1061 4th Avenue West (next to the Monroe Times). Her office hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Her phone number is 608-561-2011.
