MONROE - Blackhawk Technical College community education classes will get underway for the current semester starting on Feb. 1. Classes with space still available during the first week include:
Create Your Own Jewelry - participants explore jewelry making techniques using a variety of materials and steps. The class is scheduled to start Tuesday, Feb. 2, meeting from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Monroe High School for four sessions.
Computer for Absolute Beginner - this is an absolutely non-threatening introduction to using computers offering exposure to hardware, terminology, and functions of the personal computer. The class is scheduled to start on Thursday, Feb. 4, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the BTC Monroe Campus for five sessions.
Welding-Open - people in this class will receive individualized instruction in the principles of welding techniques and processes related to various materials with safety emphasized. The class is scheduled to start on Thursday, Feb. 4, meeting from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Monroe High School.
