DARLINGTON - Rebecca Christoffel will present a program on turtles that are native to Wisconsin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Bluebird Nest Nature Center, 308 Main St., Darlington.
Christoffel is the proprietor of the Christoffel Conservation Society, which is "dedicated to the conservation and management of unhuggables (i.e. reptiles, amphibians and bats)."
Prior to establishing Christoffel Conservation, Christoffel was the Extension wildlife biologist and a faculty member at Iowa State University. She served as the wildlife outreach specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1999-2002. She earned bachelor's and Master of Science degrees in wildlife ecology from UW-Madison and her Ph.D. from Michigan State University.
There is no admission to any programs at the nature center.
