'Murdered to Death' continues this week

ORANGEVILLE - Mighty Richland Players Dessert/Dinner Theater opened its recent performance, "Murdered To Death," a murder mystery comedy by Peter Gordon, Sept. 11, and is scheduled to run for again Friday and Saturday. Directed by Phil Jackman, Galena, Ill., the show stars local and regional actors.

In the first in a trilogy of comedy-murder mysteries from playwright Gordon, "Murdered to Death" revolves around a bumbling sleuth, Inspector Pratt. With Josh Ryan cast as the inspector, his is transported back to the 1930s and a spoofed plot involving murder in a country mansion with an assembled group of eccentric house guests.

The intermission provides a dessert choice of a slice of chocolate bunt cake or apple crisp, both drizzled with a sauce and accompanied with a scoop of New York vanilla ice cream.

Tickets are $20, group rates available. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, show at 7 p.m. Telephone (815) 819-1310 for reservations.
