ARGYLE - Monroe Theatre Guild actors, Gwen Fischer, John Soper, Steve Fischer and Ron Daley, will perform the classic comedy "Thurber's Carnival," in the historical theater in Argyle's Partridge Hall, opening at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, and playing March 20, 21 and March 26, 27 and 28. There will be a brunch theater at noon on Sunday, March 22, and a dinner theater at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 28. Admission to the theater is $5. The brunch and dinner theaters are $20, theater included.

Based on the comic works of James Thurber, Thurber's Carnival presents stories and sketches, fables and cartoons, and characters and caricatures which delighted and enthralled audiences on Broadway in 1956. From The Secret Life of Walter Mitty to The Unicorn in the Garden, Thurber's work lights up the stage and the faces of the audience.

Partridge Hall is at the corner of Monroe Street and State Street in Argyle. For reservations and information, call 543-3293.
