MONROE - On Monday, June 27, during the Monroe Fund grant awards, The Monsignor Thomas F. Campion Charitable Fund awarded its first grant to the Literacy Council of Green County.
"Monsignor Campion was an avid reader and would have been pleased to see the first award go to this worthy organization," advisory board member Ellen Marti said in a release.
The Campion Charitable Fund is still in its beginning stages, but is looking forward to doing many more grants in the coming years.
