MRP to host 'Yesterday'

ORANGEVILLE - The Mighty Richland Players Dinner Theater has invited Plum River Playhouse, Stockton, Ill., to bring their new show, "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow," to Orangeville. In a one-night-stand only, to be held Saturday, November 8, Plum River will present its show as a dessert theatre. The cost is $20, and includes Tammy Jo's "Pie R Square," a large, heated slice of apple pie cut into a square, topped with Cedar Crest vanilla ice cream and drizzled with caramel sauce. Coffee is complementary.

The show is a Plum River original, directed by Richard Hall, general manager of Timber Lake Playhouse in Mount Carroll. It includes a one act comedy, "Town Council," written by award-winning playwright, Mike Willis, from Sinsinawa and also includes Broadway music from Rogers and Hammerstein and Lerner and Loewe. The production also features numbers from the award-winning Broadway musical, "1776."
