MONROE — The Monroe Rural Fire District Open House will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 17 at the fire station, 840 W 8th St. There will be an extrication tools demo at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

There will be kid’s activities, a coloring contest, station tours and a dunk tank. Jim’s Backyard BBQ and Monroe Rural Fire District items will also be available.
