MONTICELLO — The Monticello Chamber of Commerce welcomed Personal Chef and owner of Thyme Savor Cuisine Laura Eyler with a Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at her home in Monticello. Eyler says she is very blessed to be doing what she loves by providing an easy solution to meal-time by offering menu planning, grocery shopping, and cooking services for families. Laura has provided meals and menu planning for families for 25 years, and as of July 1st, she is available full time as a personal chef for clients.

Services include: Evaluating nutritional needs, menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking/baking in your home. “I assist clients on a daily, weekly or bi-weekly basis or for special events or whenever they want me,” said Laura. “I can cook using the ingredients that they have or I can purchase the ingredients for the meal that we’ve planned.”

Currently, she has clients in Madison, Verona, Monroe, Monticello, Belleville, and the general Green County area. Laura added that she can bring her own cookware, spices, or utensils depending on what the client has.

Life-long residents of Monticello, Laura and her husband, Jason, have three sons. Andrew, Jackson, and Russell. Andrew graduated from Monticello high school, Jackson is a Senior, and Russell is in fourth grade. Jason works as a Project Manager for a construction company and also serves on the Monticello Fire Dept.

A few years ago, Laura was helping a friend who was going through a challenging time by preparing meals for the family. “She asked me, why don’t you start your own business?” Since then, “it’s always been a dream”, said Laura. After the last few years, she decided in early 2022 that this was the year and her plans for Thyme Savor Cuisine were set in motion. “Cooking for others is the easy part for me”. The challenging part is the paperwork, but I’m learning”.

Having grown up on a farm, Laura enjoys making traditional meals and menu items but also enjoys all types of cooking including vegetarian, salt-free, keto, diabetic, vegan, or whatever a client desires. “The only decision you’ll have to make about meals is which one to enjoy first!”
