MONTICELLO — The Monticello Parent and Teacher Organization is holding their 4th annual PTO Pony Trot Saturday, July 13 at the Monticello School. This event will be held during the Monticello homecoming weekend. Registration will be from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. with the Kids 1K run/walk starting at 8 a.m. and the 5K run/walk starting at 8:30 a.m. Register by June 30 to ensure T-shirt. A registration form or link is available through the Monticello School website.

The Monticello PTO focuses year around to aid in raising money to give back to the students, teachers and the school. Each year the PTO holds month teacher appreciation events, give senior scholarships, donate to Post Prom, the DARE program and provided a $100 teacher grant to each teacher at the school. Most recently the PTO has added a gaga ball pit, new basketball nets and balls for the school playground.
