Monticello Chamber of Commerce welcomes new board

MONTICELLO — The Monticello Chamber held their annual meeting on Thursday, Feb. 9 at the Pink Heifer Saloon & Smokehouse. The Chamber welcomed its new board members for Feb. 2023 to Feb. 2024 term. 

The local village’s business community is actively represented by six leaders who bring their perspectives to the Board of Directors for the Monticello Chamber. These creative problem-solvers advise the Chamber and guide the policies and positions that keep the community strong.

The 2022 Year in Review showed a total of 49 members consisting of businesses and organizations, with six new members and an 86% retention rate. The Monticello Chamber had four ribbon cuttings and one groundbreaking ceremony in 2022.

Sally Roe, Chamber President

Sally was born and raised in Monticello. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Upper Iowa University. Sally and her husband Dan, operate Pleasant Grain LLC, a commercial grain elevator with 3 locations in Green County. Dan and Sally also have a grain farm with Dan’s father Donald, growing mostly corn and soybeans. Sally enjoys spending time with her family, Dan and Sally have three children, Natalie currently attending UW-Madison, Nick and Alex, currently a Senior and Sophomore at Monticello High School. “I love being a part of this community, it feels like home. I really enjoy being part of the Monticello Chamber of Commerce and helping our community grow.”


Bob Harvey, Chamber Vice-President

Bob moved to the Monticello area over 10 years ago. 

He has three children currently attending Monticello High School. His wife Maria owns her own business MH Hair Infinity LLC at Main St Salon. Bob is the Branch Manager at Greenwoods State Bank in Monticello. He has served on different boards throughout Monticello, including the Village and school board. “Monticello is a great community to both live and work in and I looking forward to assisting the Chamber and to help the community of Monticello continue to grow.”


Tracy Spotts, Chamber Treasurer

As a Monroe native, she grew up working with her family’s commercial grain elevator & chemical/fertilizer business. She went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science/Journalism degree from UW-Madison with an emphasis in Marketing. After returning to Green County in 2003, she began Agri-Management Services, LLC providing bookkeeping, financial planning, and farm management services, and continues to operate as an independent crop insurance agent for Premier Insurance Solutions-Monroe. She also currently works alongside her husband, Chad, with their family’s grain farm growing corn and soybeans throughout Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. They reside on their farm in rural Monroe, where you may also see her helping at her Mother-in-Law’s seasonal greenhouse, The Potting Shed. She and Chad, along with their two sons, Noah and Troy, are proud to be active members of Green County. “It is so exciting to be part of a thriving and growing business community. Monticello has so much to offer. I look forward to helping facilitate continued growth, and being a resource for all of our members and community supporters.”


Elise Constantini, Chamber Secretary

Elise moved to Monticello in August of 2015 with her three young kids looking to find a home to settle her family that was close to the community and her work. Very quickly, she knew Monticello was the right place for her and her children. Elise grew up in Green Bay, and went to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where she earned a Bachelors in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and Marketing. After college, Elise moved to Madison, where she worked for Associated Bank before taking on the opportunity in Green County at The Bank of New Glarus. Elise is now the SVP, Chief Credit Officer at the Bank of New Glarus. She values the connection community banking provides as it “brings me  close to the businesses and families where I live and work, helping me understand the needs and desires of those communities.” Elise has three kids in the Monticello School District. When not running her kids to activities, she is active in various clubs and organizations. Most of her free time is spent watching her kids in various sporting events but when the chance arises you can find her with a book in hand on her deck. “Monticello welcomed this single mom and her three young kids and I look forward to giving back to this community that I have come to love.”


Janelle Rucker, Chamber Board Member

Janelle was born and raised in South Wayne and moved to Monroe for ten years. She is the Business Banking Development Officer for Woodford State Bank. She is a Monroe Ambassador, part of the Monroe Optimist Club, and the Women’s Club of Monroe. She resides in Orfordville with her husband, Derek and two boys, Caston and Keegan. In her spare time she loves traveling, spending time with friends and family, and has many hobbies and passions she works on. Janelle is happy to be back working in Monroe and proud to work in Green County. “I am very excited to expand my community relationships and help give Monticello the attraction it needs.”


Carson Crist, Chamber Board Member

Carson Crist is a 2013 graduate of UW-Platteville with a Building Construction Management degree and minor in business. Following a career in commercial construction management, Carson pursued his passion for real estate and has since been a real estate agent helping buyers and sellers with residential and agricultural real estate needs in southern Wis. Crist Real Estate Group is brokered by the eXp Realty and also includes his wife, Katie. Their family resides just outside of Monticello and includes their two young boys, Cash and Kage. Besides the family real estate business, Carson is an avid outdoorsman, loves spending time with his family and looks forward to becoming more involved in the Monticello community.
