MONROE - The May meeting of the GFWC Monroe Women's Club will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Wesley Hall at the Monroe Arts Center.
The Service Program co-chairs, Inge Brockman, Jennifer Coplien and Konnie Thompson, along with Art Chairman and Barb Sathoff, have prepared for the Art Spring Social with the theme "Celebration and Congratulations." Monroe Women's Club poetry, short story and member art awards will be presented.
Seventh- and eighth-grade Helen Mears art contest winners will be honored along with GFWC-WI youth poetry and short story awards. Past presidents and 50 year honorary members will be recognized. Community Improvement Projects will be Monroe Main Street Summer Program and collecting food or cash donations for the Green County Food Pantry.
Monroe Women's Club downtown flower pot planting will take place at 9 a.m. May 17.
