Monroe: Watershed workshop reservations due March 15

MONROE - A Pecatonica River Watershed Summit will be held on Saturday, March 29. Titled "Take-Home Stewardship," the free habitat and wildlife management workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Peppercorn Banquet and Catering Hall, 1417 Mansion Drive, Monroe. Advance registration is due March 15.

Watershed landholders, stakeholders and folks interested or residing in the Pecatonica River Basin of southwest Wisconsin and northwest Illinois are invited to come and "enjoy lunch on us while learning about important habitat stewardship practices you can take home and implement tomorrow," noted Kelly Forman, a water resources specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (Wis.DNR).
