MONROE - There will be a Red Cross blood drive from 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. April 24 in Fellowship Hall at the United Methodist Church, 2227 4th St., Monroe.

Nearly 14,000 blood donations are needed every day for patients. Volunteer donors are the only source of blood and platelets for those who need transfusions, as there is no artificial substitute for blood.
