MONROE - Historic Monroe is changing its summer garden walk series to a House and Garden Walk for 2008. Although some gardens and houses have been committed to the walk, Historic Monroe is actively seeking additional gardens and houses for the tour to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 29.
Historic Monroe provides hosts and hostesses at each location. All that participants need is a pretty garden, attractive house and willingness to share their gardening/decorating expertise with the general public.
The Green County Welcome Center/Historic Cheesemaking Center will provide refreshments tour day.
Proceeds from the walk assist Historic Monroe with its many historical projects.
