The Monroe school board recognized students Monday for their leadership in the classroom and their

willingness to help others. The students honored were: front, from left Jensen Christensen, daughter of Steve and Stacie Christensen, third grade, Northside Elementary School; Kylie Merchant, daughter of Michael and Christina Schindler, third grade, Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy; and Delaney Wickstrum, daughter of Don and Mary Wickstrum, first grade, Parkside Elementary School; and back row, Halie Lyons, daughter of Scott and Melissa Lyons, seventh grade, Monroe Middle School; and Logan Wells, son of Kevin and Chris Wells, senior, Monroe High School.
