MONROE - The Behring Senior Center of Monroe is planning a trip on Saturday, Sept. 5, to the Madison Farmers Market and a luncheon boat excursion around Lake Mendota. Fresh fruits and vegetables abound at the farmers market. Here's a chance to spend a morning shopping the quaint stalls around the capital. After shopping, its off to the Mariner's Inn to board the Grand Mariner for a luncheon cruise around the lake.
Cost is $70 per person. The bus will depart at 8 a.m. and return around 4 p.m. There might be time to stop for a snack on the way home. A $10 deposit will hold your seat. For more information, contact the senior center at 325-3173.
