MONROE - The Monroe 2008 spring city wide garage sales will be held on May 3 and include the entire city of Monroe. Sale hours are advertised at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.
To register to be a participant in the city wide sales, complete a registration form and submit it along with the $10 registration fee to the Monroe Chamber office. Registration forms are available at Piggly Wiggly, Monroe Pick'n Save, the Monroe Chamber office or print one from the Web site: www.monroechamber.org.
Those who register will also be entered in a drawing in which they could win one of four $25 Monroe Money certificates.
Registrations will be accepted through Thursday, April 24. Individuals or groups have the opportunity to donate the proceeds of their sales to the charity of their choice. These sales will be specifically identified on the City Garage Sale map.
A listing of all registered sellers and a map showing these locations will be available at the courtesy counters at Piggly Wiggly and Pick 'n Save, Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Industry office and at various locations around the community. Maps will be available on Wednesday, April 30.

Sellers may choose five categories from the sales category index key. The description of categories allows every seller to advertise their merchandise on the map. These letters will represent different categories of merchandise available at each location.
