Engineering for Kids

●  STEM Camp: Awaken the Force 

Calling all Padawans. Do you have what it takes to awaken the force? Explore different types of forces. Harness the power of wind, water and electricity to awaken the force and save the republic in this out-of-this-world camp.

Age: Entering 3rd to 5th grade in Fall 2022

Date: Friday, August 5, 9:30 a.m. to Noon 

Size: Minimum of 10 to hold class and Maximum of 20.

Location: Park & Rec office, 1110 18th Ave 

 

Coding Web App Games 

Make web app games that you can play on tablets or phones, while learning the text-based language Javascript. This camp allows you to learn the concepts of game design behind your favorite games with aspects such as collision detection and object relations when creating your own game.

Age: Entering 3rd to 5th grade in Fall 2022

Date: Friday, August 5, 1-3:30 p.m. 

Size: Minimum of 10 to hold class and Maximum of 20.

Location: Park & Rec office, 1110 18th Ave 

One class $50 Residents/$60 Non-residents

Both classes $75 Residents/$85 Non-residents
