Monroe Parks and Rec offers two Lego camps for kids in August

MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department has two Lego camps coming soon.

Super Hero Academy Camp is for children entering first through seventh grades. Children will explore all of the caped crusaders, create a fantasy world and protect it against the evil archenemies with contraptions made with Lego bricks. Camp is from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 4. The fee is $35 for residents and $45 for non-residents.

Teenage Brick Turtles Camp prepares young crimefighters to team up with Teenage Brick Turtles. Camp is for children in first through seventh grades and will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 11. The fee is $35 for residents and $45 for non-residents.

All classes will be held in the old EMS building, 1821 12th St., Monroe. If interested, register online or at the temporary office, Monroe Streets Department, 1064 5th Ave.
