MONROE - Monroe Theatre Guild will be holding auditions for roles in their summer production of "Fiddler on the Roof", directed by Susan Nanning-Sorenson. Performance dates are Aug. 1-3 and Aug. 7-10 at the Performing Arts Center.
Auditions will be held at MTG's home, 910 16th Ave. (the former Stage building) in Monroe.
For adults (ages 14 and up) there will be 20 major and minor roles and 20-30 chorus roles. Auditions are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 4; or 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5; with callbacks from 4 to 6 p.m. For lead roles, bring in a prepared piece of music to sing. A pianist will be provided. For chorus roles, either bring in a prepared piece of music or you may sing Happy Birthday.
For children (ages 5-13) there will be 30-40 chorus roles. Auditions are 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, or 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 5. Either bring in a prepared piece of music or you may sing Happy Birthday.
