MONROE — In the spirit of the holiday season, the Monroe Public Library Endowment Fund of The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin (CFSW) has been selected by the CFSW Board of Directors and the Schlecht Family Foundation to match gifts $2 for every $1 donated up to $3,750 total prior to June 30, 2025.
CFSW invites the public to honor a friend or family member this year by bearing a gift of comfort and joy, supporting the local library. Every dollar is invested directly into the endowment fund to provide annual support for operations, maintenance and programming.
About the Library Fund:
The Monroe Public Library Endowment Fund was established in 2024 as a permanent financial resource for the Monroe Public Library, creating a pathway for residents to match their philanthropy with support for their local library and its services. Each year a portion of the Fund’s earnings is given back to support the library’s mission.
The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, matching personal philanthropy with community need. We proudly serve nine southern Wisconsin counties: Crawford, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Rock, Sauk, Vernon, and Walworth. The Foundation holds over 900 funds, benefiting southern Wisconsin in perpetuity.
