Monroe: Forensics team takes fourth place at invite

MONROE - On Saturday, Jan. 26, thirty-seven members of the Monroe High School Forensics team competed in the DeForest High School Invitational Meet, earning a fourth place finish among 17 teams.

Top individual finishers included second place finishers Theresa Wyss (solo acting- humorous), Reuben Arnold (extemporaneous), and the group of Melissa Rufer, Katlyn Lee, Coree Lee, and Laura Chopp (group interpretation). David Parr (extemporaneous) earned third place recognition.

Individual finalists included: Flannery Steffens (solo acting- humorous), Elizabeth VanNatta (public address), and Elizabeth Eiseman (poetry).

The MHS Forensics team will next compete in the Badger Conference meet on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Baraboo High School.
