MONROE - The Monroe FFA Chapter took 14 students to the 88th National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky, held from Oct. 28-31.

Students were selected through a vigorous application process. This year's convention had a record attendance of over 65,000 FFA students, advisors and guests, with Wisconsin being one of the best-represented states at the convention.

Members from the Monroe FFA attended several sessions hosted by the National FFA Officer Team, attended the National Talent Show, toured the career fair and browsed the convention shopping mall. Monroe FFA students also toured the Louisville Slugger Factory and Churchill Downs, and they attended a concert presented by Culver's, featuring country artists Maddie and Tae and Jake Owen.

The Monroe FFA's Agricultural Mechanics team also competed at the National Level in Louisville and finished seventh as a team overall. The trip to the National FFA Convention was made possible by the support of the Monroe FFA Alumni, many generous donors and community-supported fundraisers.
