MONROE - Monroe Clinic announced the opening of its new Joint Replacement Center of Excellence. Monroe Clinic's Leadership team worked for the past nine months to transform a portion of the new hospital into a Destination Total Joint Center.
The goal of the center is to provide total joint replacement patients with exceptional patient experiences and superior clinical outcomes. Dr. Lance Sathoff has been instrumental to the implementation of the program and will act as the medical director. Wes Speer has been named the joint care coordinator of the Joint Replacement Center of Excellence.
The new center opened on Nov. 1. Features and benefits of the center include a dedicated space, a culture of wellness and early patient mobility, patient education, patient care, the group dynamic and high patient satisfaction achievements.
An open house for the Joint Replacement Center of Excellence will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 6 in the Garden Terrace Café on the second floor of the hospital.
