MONROE - Monroe Clinic Volunteers announce the 2016 recipients of the $500 scholarship award for students seeking a career in a health-related field.
Monroe recipients include Mitchell Keith and Jaron Kuester. Monroe Clinic branch recipients are Dorthea Fiedler and Ryan Dull.
The advanced studies scholarship was awarded to five area college students who completed at least one year of advanced study (beyond high school) in a health-related field. Kristen McArdle, Amanda Pickel, Tia Collins, Elizabeth Chambers and Molly Satness each received a $1,500 scholarship.
Applicants are required to have a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Students are evaluated on citizenship, need and pursuit of a degree or certificate in the health care field. Scholarship recipients must either live within the Monroe Clinic service area or have a parent who works for Monroe Clinic. A scholarship committee reviews each application.
Starting in December, students can go to monroeclinic.org to download the 2017 Monroe Clinic Volunteer Scholarship application.
