Monroe City Band concert series continues Monday

MONROE - The Monroe City Band will continue the series of free public concerts at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Twining Park bandshell. The program will open with the traditional "Star Spangled Banner," followed by "Entry of the GLADIATORS," a march, by J. Fucik, arranged by Ed Chenette, then followed by several other arrangements.

Also to be included in the program is "Ave Maria," a vocal solo by Shannon Kaszuba, by Franz Schubert, arranged by Clarence E. Barber; "Farandole," by Georges Bizet, arranged by Jay Bocook.
