MONROE - St. John's United Church of Christ, Monroe, is celebrating autumn fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the church. Festivities include a silent auction, quilt raffle, bake sale, kids corner and lunch menu.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu includes hot turkey dressing sandwich, barbecue, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, salads, corn or green bean casserole, homemade pies and desserts and beverage. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 children 10 and under; children under 2 eat free.
The proceeds go toward repairing a roof leak and school supplies for Atlas School in Milwaukee's inner city.
