MONROE - Green Rock Audubon Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the second floor meeting room of the Monroe Public Library, 925 16th Ave., Monroe.
Bob Johnson, retired high school guidance counselor in Janesville, will describe his experiences hiking the Appalachian Trail. He calls himself a "section hiker," meaning he completed the trail a section at a time; in his case, 7 years. Johnson has been a long-time hiker and promises lots of hints for hikers of all ages. The public is welcome.
