MONROE - Saturday, May 31, is the opening of a temporary display called "27 Dresses" at the Green County Historical Society museum.
On loan are 27 wedding dresses worn from 1889 through 2007. The wedding dresses will be on display from May 31 through September.
The museum is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $2 for adults and free for those less than 12 years old. The museum is located at 1617 9th Street with ample parking behind the museum. Unfortunately, most of the dresses are on the second floor, which is not handicapped accessible.
