MONROE - Monroe Middle School students will present the Broadway musical "Annie," at the Monroe Middle School, 1510 13th St., for two nights, Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6.
The famous musical tale of the spunky orphan, based on the popular comic-strip, "Little Orphan Annie," features a talented ensemble cast of seventh and eighth grade students, and is directed by Katie Doyle and Dave Bristow. Costumes by Sandi Nelson and choreography courtesy of Judy Knudtson add polish to the production. Theatre-goers can expect to hear many of the familiar, upbeat songs that audiences have come to love, and share the rollicking adventures of Annie's "hard-knock life" as she dreams of finding a family and a home.
Come and enjoy this joyful family favorite. "Annie Junior" is a one-act adaptation of the Broadway original. Show time each night is 7 p.m. and tickets are available at the door for a voluntary contribution. A bake sale is also featured on Thursday night.
