MONROE - Mimi's team will be holding an Alzheimer's Walk brat fry fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Dick's Piggly Wiggly, 725 8th St., Monroe.
A brat or barbecue, chips and soda will cost $4.50; $3.50 for a hot dog, chips and soda; and a root beer float will cost $2.
The team is also sponsoring an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Aug. 29, at the American Legion, 1627 12th Ave., Monroe. Cost of the breakfast is $6. The menu includes scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, hashbrowns, ham, sausage, applesauce, fruit bowl, baked goods, juices, coffee and milk. There is also a silent auction and raffle.
Mimi's teams' events are way of honoring and remembering Mildred Kubly.
