Mighty Richland Players to perform 3 plays in March

ORANGEVILLE - The Mighty Richland Players Dessert Theater's first production of the 2015 season is a collage of three one-act plays titled "Thrice is Nice."

"A Matter of Husbands" by Ferenc Molnar opens the show. Sandy Sweitzer and Jen Bessert star in the play in which a famous actress gets confronted by a young woman who thinks the actress is having an affair with her husband.

"The Little German Man" is a mix of music from a guest pianist performing traditional German music and stories brought to life by the Little German Man. Albert and Bonnie Scheider perform.

During intermission, dessert and coffee will be served. Hot apple cider will also be available all evening.

"Auction of Famous Bricks" closes the production. Strange and funny personalities try to outbid each other for bricks from famous buildings and places. An actual auctioneer, Creighton Barker, portrays the auctioneer in the show. Sandy Sweitzer opens the play with the song, "The Auctioneer." She also portrays the auction clerk. Other performers include: Joan and Carl Sanford, Jen Bessert, Bonnie Scheider, Judy Sherk, Glenda Adams, Ed Dotzel, Gene Lehman and Sue Wichman.

Show dates are: 7:30 p.m. March 20 and 21 and at 2 p.m. March 22 at the Mighty Richland Player Dessert Theater in the historic Masonic Hall, 203 High St., Orangeville.
