WHITEWATER - Kent Miehe, a native of Darlington, graduate of Darlington High School and member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's cross country and track and field programs, was one of 42 Warhawks recognized as Chancellor's Scholar-Athletes at the third annual Warhawk Awards on May 2 at the University Center.
Each Scholar-Athlete received a commemorative watch.
To be recognized as Scholar-Athletes, student athletes must have maintained a 3.25 cumulative GPA or higher through the end of the 2015 fall semester. Honorees must have participated in a varsity sport for three years, be of senior academic status and have accumulated at least 90 degree credits.
Miehe is majoring in secondary math education at UW-Whitewater.
