MONROE - The Monroe High School is hosting an Eighth-Grade Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 26 at the high school.
The event is open to all current eighth-graders and their families. The intent of the evening is to welcome eighth-grade students and their families and to answer questions about what Monroe High School has to offer.
Principal Chris Medenwaldt and Associate Principal Jeriamy Jackson will be in the Performing Arts Center at 5 p.m. to explain the Aligned Instructional Model as well as high school expectations. Families will also have the opportunity to hear presentations from the core areas (English, social studies, science and math), elective areas and student services regarding post-secondary education. A letter explaining the details of the Eighth-Grade Orientation and a copy of the brochure have been mailed.
