Students in Samantha Rudi’s English 10 class put Macbeth on trial during an in-class “debial” (debate/trial) at Monroe High School in which they were tasked with determining his guilt or defending his innocence in the murders committed in the play Macbeth. Students challenged their classmates by preparing arguments with opening statements, evidence, witness testimony and rebuttals.
