Monroe High School’s College Accounting students won first and second place at Lakeland University’s Forensic Accounting Competition.
Lakeland hosted the competition for 14 schools and 19 teams. The Forensic Accounting Competition is an annual event in which students problem solve preventions and solutions to an accounting fraud case. This year, students studied the case involving one of the world’s largest bank cyber heists involving the Central Bank of Bangladesh, RCBC Bank in the Philippines, and the New York Federal Reserve.
