DARLINGTON — The Memorial Healthcare Foundation Grants & Career Development Committee has selected five recipients for healthcare scholarships in 2021. These recipients exemplified educational and community requirements.
The following received $1000 awards:
Jason Singer, Darlington, is currently studying medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Jason is the son of Matt and Sandy Singer, Darlington. He worked as a research technician at Washington University School of Medicine for two years after graduating from Washington University in St. Louis in 2019.
Ian Murphy, Benton, is currently studying nursing and Spanish at Clarke University in Dubuque, IA. Ian is the son of David and Jennifer Murphy, Benton. He currently works at MercyOne ER and Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.
Meghan Douglas, Darlington, is currently studying nursing and psychology at Clarke University in Dubuque, IA. Meghan is the daughter of Tim and Kory Douglas, Darlington. She currently works at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County, Lafayette Manor and Grapetree Medical Staffing.
Emma Crist, Darlington, is currently studying athletic training at Clarke University in Dubuque, IA. Emma is the daughter of Casey and Jenny Crist, Darlington. She currently works at the Lafayette Manor as a CNA.
Bethany McDonald, Darlington, is currently studying biology with an emphasis in health sciences at UW-Platteville. Bethany is the daughter of Dave and Carmen McDonald, Darlington. She is currently working at Lafayette Manor as a CNA and UW-Platteville as a student researcher.
The Memorial Healthcare Foundation’s mission is to support and promote Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County through the endowment of new and existing services, scholarships and capital improvements.
